Delivery Charges

Delivery is quoted on a per item basis unless otherwise stated. For the majority of orders this works well and is fair to all.  However, should you wish to order a number of items, we understand that delivery on a per item basis will have a substantial effect on the total cost of your order.  In this instance, please contact us for the delivery charge for your complete order.

In the event that the delivery charges of an order are greater than the actual cost and payment has been made via the website using PayPal, we will override the website accordingly if we feel it is appropriate to do so, and make every effort to advise the customer of our intention to reimburse the difference through the website.  Goods are normally despatched via carrier using next day delivery. 

However, there are some smaller items which can be despatched via parcel post.  In this instance, the charges shown on our website have been adjusted accordingly.

Equally, due to their exception weight or size or bulk, larger items will not have a delivery charge shown on the website and a recommendation is made for collection only to avoid the possibility of damage in transit - please see Damage in Transit.

Orders may be collected thereby eliminating any delivery charges.   However, please phone beforehand the make arrangements to ensure your complete order is ready for collection.

Delivery times are NOT GUARANTEED by us as once the goods are despatched from our premises they are outside our control.

Exceptional Destinations

Deliveries overseas including Europe, Southern Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Scottish Islands and Highlands, and the Isle of Wight may be subject to higher delivery charges than those shown on the website.   The website is unable to display these so please ask for a quotation to determine the cost beforehand.

Damage in Transit

Larger items such as stoves, cookers, fridges etc are items which are particularly at risk of incurring damage in transit which is why we recommend that you collect such items although we take great care to pack such items carefully.  Should you request that we send such items by carrier, IT IS AT YOUR RISK.

Checking Goods upon Receipt

It is your, or anyone acting on your behalf's, responsibility to check the goods upon receipt for damage during transit.  You must only sign as 'Received in Good Condition' when you are satisfied that no damage has occurred.

If you think that damage has occurred by, for example, the package showing signs of being dropped, trampled, crushed, torn, impacted or mis-shapen, then you must not sign as being 'Received in Good Condition' - also know as a 'Clean Signature'.   Under these circumstances you should sign as 'Received Damaged' and state on the consignment note the nature of the damage you have noticed.

In the event that you feel that you, or the person acting on your behalf, have not been given an opportunity to check the goods, please write in 'Not Checked' and strike through the words 'Received in Good Condition'.

NB:  If you sign for goods with a 'Clean Signature' you are acknowledging that you have received your goods free of damage and we will not then entertain any complaint that the goods have been damaged in transit, since your signature will waive our right to compensation under the carrier's insurance.

Please be aware the above information relating to 'Damage in Transit' only refers to damage caused by the carrier in mishandling the parcel and has no bearing on your rights relating to faulty goods.  Procast will always replace goods which have a manufacturing defect or are faulty on despatch.

Please note that a large number of the items, especially items such as the solid brass, chrome or powder coated portholes, brass and chrome porthole liners, and the fibreglass liners too, are manufactured to order so please allow time for the whole process to take place.
